A little introduction for those who don’t know me. I am a full-time musician with over 15 years in the event biz. I am originally from Toronto and studied classical piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music from the age of 6.
Though piano is my main instrument, I also play many others such as flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone and guitar. Growing up, I performed with several bands, chamber groups & orchestras, and I was also a private music teacher for many years.
My voice actually came later. No formal training, not a single lesson. Somewhere along the line I just discovered I could sing. Or probably more to the point, people told me I could sing. Singing is just as much a confidence thing, as a talent thing. I had fun playing in a rock cover band for many years which proved to me that I could sing AND play piano at the same time.
In 2011, I decided to dedicate myself as a solo performer. In these last 8 years, I have performed for more than 500 events. I am honoured to have played for so many wonderful people, including many of Canada’s top dignitaries, celebrities and organizations. Too many clients to list here, but if you’re interested, you can check out my About page.
Having a job that impacts people in such a positive way, and to always feel so appreciated…well, I don’t think you can ask for better than that – it’s an absolutely rewarding career. And spending my days creatively in music is a gift that I try very hard not to take for granted.
