Unifor Constitutional Convention 2019

The Unifor Constitutional Convention 2019 in Québec City was an amazing and inspiring week. This truly warm, sincere and endearing group of fellow Canadians have always had a particularly special way of making me feel welcome and at home with them.

Here is some live footage of my performance:

I really enjoyed speaking with folks from all over the country and sharing the stage with some incredible talent from Montréal, Quebec City and the UK. The week’s events were closed out by Blue Rodeo, so without a doubt, I was in very good company this week.

This venue (that I’d never heard of before, in a city I’d never been to before), has turned out to be one of my most favourite places to perform. The acoustics were unreal. The “Chapelle” at Musée de l’Amérique francophone is one I hope to return to.

Also a big thank you to the beautifully talented Sophie Reid from the UK for joining me on stage and singing a few songs with me. I found out after the fact that this fabulous singer is also a Hollywood actress who has appeared in Game of Thrones and alongside Sting in his musical, The Last Ship.

Here is a little impromptu duet we did together on stage:

What an amazing week! Thanks for the memories, Unifor!
