Sometimes we wedding vendors use the term “dream clients” and this definitely applies in this situation. I thoroughly adored meeting H & S and being part of their entire wedding day at the Courtyard from start to finish.
The sweetest couple who absolutely LOVE music and were so thrilled to have me as their entertainment – it was very touching.
No DJ, juste moi. I performed from 4pm to midnight (with a few breaks, of course). They asked me if that was the longest gig I ever played, and yes, I think it was!
Their love of Celtic & Canadian music was expressed in many of their music selections for the Ceremony, Cocktails, Dinner & First Dances…from Blue Rodeo, Great Big Sea, Gordon Lightfoot, Jann Arden, and Rawlins Cross to name a few. Here are a few of the key featured songs:
Processional: Pachelbel’s Canon & Ed Sheeran’s Perfect (medley)
Signing: The Wedding Gift by Rawlins Cross
Recessional: Memory Waltz by Rawlins Cross
Grand Entrance: The Dubliner by Eileen M O’Brien
First Dances (Couple & Family): Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk, Amazed by Lonestar, My Girl by the Temptations, Say A Little Prayer by Aretha Franklin, Stand By Me by Ben E. King
Last Song of the Night: Lost Together by Blue Rodeo
What a beautiful and special day spent with these music lovers, whom I will never forget. A pleasure to also spend the day alongside Cynthia, Andrew & Donna as well!
